How I Contributed as a 3D Artist
Electric City, developed by Technomagic Pvt. Ltd. and published by Supersonic, was one of the most rewarding projects I worked on as a 3D Game and Character Artist. The game reached a global audience and became a major milestone in my career as a Game Artist from Bangladesh.

My Role in the Project
I led the art pipeline from concept to final in-game assets, working closely with the engineering team to ensure smooth integration.
My responsibilities included:
- Guiding the art team through concept, modeling, and texturing
- Creating optimized 3D buildings and props for mobile
- Ensuring performance-friendly emissive lighting
- Maintaining visual clarity even when players zoom far out to view the whole city
The city layout also went through complete redesigns to achieve clearer readability and better gameplay flow.
Custom FOW (Fog of War) – Shader-Based Solution
Unity struggled with heavy lighting and flickering when many lights were active.
To solve this, I designed a fully shader-based overlay system using Shader Graph.
It:
- Added zero CPU overhead
- Removed flickering issues
- Provided extremely fast real-time performance
This became a key visual mechanic for the game.
Cinematic Intro – From Blender to Real-Time Unity
I created the first version of the intro as a pre-rendered cinematic in Blender, showing Earth being electrically surged and powered down.
Later, we moved to a real-time Unity cinematic, blending Timeline and coroutines to achieve a smooth in-engine experience.
It helped set the tone and hype for new players entering the world of Electric City.
Final Thoughts
Working on Electric City was a pleasure and a defining moment in my career.
The game is now available on iOS & Android, with 500,000+ downloads across platforms.
